Wunderschönes Berlin

April 13, 2015

Just to let you know, it’s gonna be really hot today on my blog. Red hot! But let’s start at the very beginning. I’m already back home after spending this awesome week in Berlin. Our last days we’re filled with lot’s of walking around the city, green smoothies, Starbucks coffee, shopping, art, and a whole lot of sunshine. So on Thursday morning we directly went to the Bikini center to see the Red Hot exhibition.

At first appearance you will only notice photos of half naked guys with red hair shot by photographer Thomas Knights. But there is way more to it than that. Society never really thought of red-haired men in a manly and heroic way and as kids they are often made fun of. So the photographer wanted to remove this prejudice by portraying them in a more sexy way. He also supported many Anti-Bullying charities with his project which I think is a wonderful idea. You can find out more about the exhibition and the project by klicking hereand here.

So the exhibition was among others the reason why I came to Berlin. I actually wanted to attend the big opening an Easter Saturday but I unfortunately couldn’t make it. Even though I couldn’t be there for the party I had a great time exploring the pictures. Afterwards we had some smoothies and went to the KaDeWe for a little shopping trip. It is one of the biggest department stores in Europe so you can imagine that I had a great time.

On our last day we met some friends from Berlin and we had a great night out in one of Berlin’s best clubs. I will tell you more about it in another post and I will also share some pictures with you. All in all we had a wonderful time and I really can’t wait to go back to Berlin soon.
